Revitalization

The Vision for Victoria

The revitalization of the Victoria Theater ruins marks a new chapter for this extraordinary landmark. Through strategic technical and spatial investments, the venue will become a year-round hub for culture – all while preserving the raw, industrial aesthetic that defines its character today.
The new infrastructure will expand existing programs and foster new formats, including interdisciplinary festivals, artist residencies, exhibitions, corporate events, and workshops led by international creators.

  • Inclusivity: Full accessibility for all guests.
  • This new foundation supports an ‘Open Door’ policy – offering free and affordable ticketed events to ensure that everyone can be a part of the city’s vibrant cultural life.”

This building is truly sensational. I find myself a staunch advocate for its restoration. Its raw, industrial aesthetic must be carefully planned and integrated with modern theater facilities.

A New Dimension of Culture

The revitalization of the Victoria Theater ruins marks the beginning of the creation of a cohesive, multidimensional urban space – “Kwartał Kultury”.
The project will combine the Victoria Theater ruins, the area along Przyjaźni Avenue, the square on Kłodnicka Street, the building at 3 Barlickiego Street, and adjacent areas into a single modern complex.

Art, recreation, education, dining, and the creative economy will naturally intertwine here, creating a vibrant hub for gatherings and creativity for residents, tourists, and creative communities.
In subsequent phases, new facilities will be built: dining venues, studios, coworking spaces, and commercial spaces all in the spirit of openness and urban energy.

The ruins of the Victoria Theater are more than just architecture. They are emotions, memories, and creative potential that will now take on a new form. The revitalization does not strip this place of its soul on the contrary, it breathes new life into it.
It is a project that connects the past with the future, history with modernity, and Gliwice with Europe. “Kwartał Kultury” will become a space where everyone will find something for themselves: art, relaxation, inspiration, and community.
