Footloose | a musical performed by the Wit-Wit Theatre

Twenty-four years after its European premiere at the Gliwice Musical Theatre, the musical *Footloose* returns to Gliwice. This time, the cult classic will be performed by young artists from the “Wit-Wit” Theatre Acting Studio, under the guidance of experienced producers, in one of the city’s most distinctive cultural venues – the Ruins of the Victoria Theatre.

The performances will take place on 14 and 15 June 2026. The audience will be treated to an energetic story about youth, the need for freedom, courage and the power of community. “Footloose” has been attracting audiences for years with its dynamic
music, recognisable title and a story about a generation that wants to speak with its own voice. Gliwice holds a special place in the history of this musical. It was here that the European premiere of the show took place at the Gliwice Musical Theatre. After 24 years, “Footloose” returns to the city in a new, youth-oriented production, prepared by the “Wit-Wit” Musical Theatre. The production is being staged as a licensed amateur production under rights granted by Concord Theatricals Ltd. However, the main focus of the communication remains the show’s return to Gliwice and the local, youth-oriented dimension of the event.
